Tony's Reunion
(continued - page 2)
Report by: Debra Pickman

The group was certainly upset and felt to blame for bringing this about in our own home, but we assured them, that we didn’t feel that way. It had happened before with other people we had invited to the house. Talking about the Sallie house, evidence, theories and more just seemed to bring about the scratching activity. A short time later, we decided it was time to go to the house and start that night’s investigation.

Before everyone had left and while the investigative group packed up their equipment, Tony had pulled me aside and asked about what I thought of his going with us. I was shocked to say the least. “You don’t have to prove anything to anybody”, I said, “and no one is expecting you to do so.” He told me he hadn’t made up his mind about it, but he was thinking about going with us. I again, assured him that no one was expecting it and that they really thought he would be better off not going, but I also told him that if it was something he wanted to do, I didn’t think anyone would have an objection.

Before the group drove off I, I spoke with, Todd, the lead member of the group concerning Tony’s idea about going with us. His response, especially after hearing some of Tony’s experience first hand, was that he didn’t think it would be a good idea, but that if it was something he really wanted to do that was up to him. I told him I, and maybe Tony would meet them all at the house in a little while.

The group left and after a short conversation with Tony, he decided he was going to go as well. We arrived at the house while everyone was unpacking the their vehicles and carrying in equipment. Todd, spoke with Tony and asked, “Are you sure about this?” After getting Tony’s confirmation, we all held hands, said a short prayer for the protection of all those who were going to enter the house, and went in.

Tony seemed rather calm as he wandered around the first floor and one of the investigative team members had been monitoring him the entire time with a video camera. We had only been inside for a few minutes. While standing in the kitchen, and trying to take in all the aesthetic changes of the house since he last saw it, he was asked if he wanted to go up stairs. A few of the cameras had already been set up, and as we made our way upstairs, Todd and the camera operator followed us. The camera was simply for the purpose of continued documentation.

We reached the top of the stairs, and from the hallway, quickly peaked into the nursery. Tony however seemed somewhat drawn to the master bedroom. “This is the room that I had most of my trouble”, he said, as he walked towards and into the room. He stood inside quietly for a while, almost trying to remember what it had been like. We rest of us maintained the silence. “Do you feel anything?”, I asked. “No, not really”, he said. We stayed a few moments more.
