Sightings Fourth Visit
Report by: Debra Pickman
We were very surprised to get a fourth call from Sightings requesting to come back to the house. There was apparently so much feedback from the public for more information and answers they felt obliged in their attempt to do so.
This time they were planning to bring a battery of equipment, monitors and special cameras. They were hoping to make an overnight stay of it and possibly catch some nighttime activity. The hard part was in convincing Tony of the possible good that would come from it.
After the predictable arguing and pointing out the negatives and positives of the group returning, he reluctantly agreed to it, again, mandating it would be the last time.
The team, larger than before, arrived, and quickly began to plan where they would set up their control center. They moved things around in the kitchen to create an area for a wide range of monitoring equipment from which they would monitor the house and the activity. There were several surveillance cameras, oscilloscopes, monitors, frequency counters, and recording equipment assigned to record from each separate camera.
Meanwhile the rest of the team set up several cameras in various areas of the house. There was one in the nursery, one in our bedroom, and one at the top of the stairs hoping to catch some of the activity that had been reported. And two cameras were set up at either end of the living room as well as an independent thermal imaging camera.
The research members of the team made their way to the local library to attempt some research. They did find records that noted there were 3 deaths in the house: M.C. Finney in 1872, James K Finney in 1900 and Agnus Finney in 1918 .
Kerry Gaynor, a world renowned parapsychologist and investigator is an undisputed authority in the field, had arrived as well. On his list of experiences are the famous Entity and Poltergeist cases. This was to be our first meeting and he was a very soft-spoken man who listened intently on what you had to say. He review with us some of the history he had been told and asked many of his own question as well. Tony and I like him right away.
Since it had only been a few weeks since the television crew had been up previously, Kerry was interested in seeing what was left of the scratches Tony had received during that visit. For the sake of unequivocal proof that Tony wasn’t doing any of the scratches himself, it was decided that at least one camera would monitor him at all times.
Tony took it a step further by removing his shirt so as any scratch could immediately be seen. In addition he voluntarily took off any jewelry, to include his watch and ring and emptied his pockets. His worst fear was that someone would think he was making the scratches himself and he wanted to be sure there was nothing available to suggest that was the case.
