Last Straw - Time to Move

Time to Move

Report by: Debra Pickman

After having the baby I went back to work 3 days a week at a local retail business that sold health equipment. Tony continued working the midnight shift, so when he arrived home, he took a bit of time to unwind and then retired to bed to get sleep before I and the baby came home for the day.

For several weeks, Tony told me of having trouble getting to sleep in the master bedroom. We put up black material on the windows to help keep out the light, and he tried earplugs to curb the noise of daily activities outside. I found it very difficult sleeping during the day.

There were also several times that he called me at work to tell me he was hearing a voice, or strange noise, or just couldn’t get to sleep.

One day he called to report that there was a mist like apparition forming near the end of the bed. In fact, it had continued to form as we spent the next several minutes on the phone and then simply dissipated before his eyes.

He spoke of how one afternoon he awoke to a woman’s voice clearly saying, “I’m gonna get…..” but then it became unintelligible. At the same time, he saw what looked like a woman’s hand reach out towards him as he lay in bed. The hand was covered in a long black glove and sitting on the hand was a black bird. Again, this dissipated before his eyes.

He seemed to have a lot of trouble sleeping in the master bedroom, and although he tried to sleep elsewhere, doing so in the middle of the day was not easy.

A few times Tony had told me that he feared that I would be hurt; that whatever we were dealing with (the adult spirit) didn’t like me. He wasn’t sure why, but assumed it was based on jealousy. I’m not sure I had taken the warning for what it was worth. I had never had anything negative, let along physical happen to me throughout our paranormal experience to date.

Tony remained adamant, that he just felt something was going to happen to me. When asked if the baby was in danger and he reported he didn’t think so.

Days later, I came home to find Tony visibly upset and demanding that we needed to find a place to move. He went on to describe how, as he stood in the doorway of the master bedroom facing the hallway, he was shoved forward with such brut force that his feet left the floor and he found himself heading over the railing. He said what stopped him, he does not know, but it scared the hell out of him and feared for what might happen next and to who.

This was the last straw. We began looking for another house that night. We moved quickly and were in the process of moving our belongings into another house within 30 days.
