1st Investigation with KPG

1st Investigation with KPG

Report by: Debra Pickman

I had brought along my digital still, and digital video camera, as well as my digital RCA voice recorder. I asked where KPG might need an extra camera and we decided on the upstairs bedroom. I set up the camera and left it without turning it on. I didn’t know if they had set up their recordings on any sort of cycle or if they had any particular method to their tapping, so I wanted to ask before I began tapping. I headed back down stairs, got side tracked with conversation, and Renae and I went back up later. She was going to check on one of her cameras and I, after admitting that I had not yet set my to tap, decided this would be a good time to do so.

Once up stairs we headed to our respective rooms and cameras, which upon looking at mine I discovered that it was in a demo mode. I called Renae in to look at it, because it had been a long time since I had seen the demo mode (probably when I first bought the camera) and I was not very familiar with how it was initiated. We determined that it wasn’t anything I did, and that something or someone had been messing with my camera.

Later down stairs, we sat and talked in the living room. Early on Tony had a light scratch show up on his face, and Renae left the room while the rest of us tried to document it. Tony didn’t seem to be very concerned about it and we were soon back to conversation.

Periodically throughout the time we were there, I would hit the record button on my voice recorder. My thoughts, were this….. Many times, back when we lived in the house, we experienced activity when we least expected it. Usually when we were just conversing with friends and talking about other things. Keep in mind back then I refer to physical activity such as fires and moving objects. I knew nothing of EVP, hence the reason for very little EVP files from that period.

Anyway, at this time I just wanted to experiment with capturing EVP sporadically and not in set “sessions”, to see if it was easier to obtain them, than how I had been doing it with other groups. It was also the first time I had a recorder of my own and I was excited to perhaps capture something myself. That, I certainly did. Please see file named “I don’t play this”

It is the voice of 2, perhaps 3 children, who sound like they are playing a game in the same room with us. Could it be that they were in the room, just as our own children might have been, sitting in another area playing quietly while the adults did their thing?

Although Tony and I left at the same time, he actually stayed for about 4 hours this time with minimal damage. Before we left that evening, he was scratched once on the left cheek, burned slightly on his shoulder and again on his wrist. These attacks seemed to occur while we had been talking about a female entity that we now feel might have been responsible for Tony's attacks in the house. Her name is Joanna Barnes. This return to the house was certainly different from what we expected, and I’m sure Tony was a bit relieved at how well it went.
