Report by Renae Leiker (continued):

Upstairs I put a laptop on the floor of the back bedroom and put a web cam up on the window sill. As I bent over to start the program I felt a small hand hit my derriere. I turned to see my son in the door frame. I smiled and he said “what”. “Oh nothing”, but when I bent over I felt the same thing again.

I stood up and said I thought someone was trying to get him in trouble smacking me on the butt like that. Thing of it was we didn’t hear the smack. I acknowledged that I had felt it and said it was ok if someone was wanting me to know they were there it was ok to do that. I also explained that the guy standing there in the door way use to be my little boy before he grew up, so I had been smacked on the butt before and it was just fine by me.

From our EVP you can tell that it was the most active night so far.

Another thing that seemed to help was when Jerry and our guest started talking about some of the older families there in Atchison. This did seem to draw the ghosts into the conversations we had. I think this is also what gave us the idea to just go in and talk about different things to see what they might comment on. In any case this visit was when we finally started getting results.

Coleen also dropped by and when reviewing our tapes we realized we had an EVP about Coleen that was captured before she had actually reached the front door. Yes it was an intelligent haunt as the EVP suggested but their awareness seemed to reach beyond the walls of the house.

As a couple of us decide to run to Wal-Mart we picked up the voice of a child asking if they can go with us. It seems that she must have been hoping that we might also stop by one of those homes Jerry and our guest had talked about. One of the adults told them could not go.

There were some tense moments that made some a little uncomfortable. Some felt they should not turn their back on the front door area. Later when reviewing the video there seemed to be something to it the fear a few felt. We captured an argument between two women that sounded as though it was by the front door.

As we packed up equipment to head home I was asked to let them know about what I heard at this time or that time. It seemed everyone wanted to know if a hunch at a certain time meant anything. I said I would be able to check just a couple before Troy and I left for a camping trip. We were going to get a little sleep and head out Sunday afternoon or Monday morning. I wouldn’t be able to do much while out there either because there were no lights, electricity, or running water and we were not even sure if the cows had been brought to the pasture yet. The cell phone might work if I walk to the top of the hill but we didn’t know that for sure either because I had changed providers since we had last been there.
