In the upper left corner you can see the reddened area in which his shoulder connected with the door when he was thrown through the air. Tony felt non of these scratches until we were fleeing the house and parked at the waterfront to calm our nerves. At that point he felt a raw burning wound sensation; in raising his shirt he realized the scratches.

Film footage was reviewed from earlier in the day to reveal that the rose had not been in this state earlier in the day. Howard Heim was baffled, as it seemed in his professional opinion that the petals would have had to be taken off the rose, burnt and put back together, which all but impossible.

It was then left on the table whereas several minutes later the pen was found melted in this manner. Nothing else in the vacinity was melted or damaged in any way.

We used it to sign the guest book and about 20 minutes later, in need of a pen and searching the table where we had left it, we found it in this condition. If you look closely, you can see the grip like indentations along the pen's barrel. We saw this type of burn while we lived in the house and on a candle that hung in a sconce on the wall.
