This disk is provided for several reasons:
- For serious independent analysis of the raw EVP files obtained on the above mentioned date and at the above mentioned location
- For paranormal researchers to study the Sallie House from afar and from the perspective of EVP captured on site
- For those interested in distinct EVP from the Sallie House and how it pertains or reflects on the entities in the house
- for those who are curious about EVP or have an ear for hearing them – for those unfamiliar with listening to EVP, you may need to listen to each file multiple times before the words are distinct enough to recognize (the use of headphone are strongly suggested)
The file on this disk are broken down into 4 basic categories:
- Filename - “1st_session_full _08-18-07” is approximately 44 minutes of the unedited raw audio captured as the digital voice recorder sat on the banister in the upstairs hallway during our first visit on August 18, 2007.
- Filename - “2nd_session_session_full_slam_08-18-07 is approximately 21 minutes of raw audio captured as the digital voice recorder sat on the table in the 1st floor dining room during our second visit to the house during the evening of August 18, 2007. This entire recording did not pick up much EVP and will seem uninteresting to the untrained ear. This file contains the audio recorded when Tony was hit by an unseen force and thrown to the wall 4 feet behind him. For your convenience, the most significant portion of this session has been broken into a shorter file titled “2nd session SLAM – short”
- File name CAR-full session is approximately 11 minutes recorded as we exited the house and drove away. This file has been slightly filtered to reduce the noise of ambient road and vehicle sounds
- All other files are clips of unedited raw audio pulled directly out of the files above. Each file name suggests what is heard on the EVP clip ( although others may hear something different). There are approximately 58 of these files.
The EVP file are pulled from the raw sessions with the help of Adobe Audition and can be listen to using a variety of audio programs one of which is likely installed on your computer already. Some of the audio clip files have been atered only by amplification or slight noise reduction.
File names are formatted as follows: The words being claimed as an EVP have no underscore. Underscore in the file name denotes words spoken by an investigator. (ie. what_is_you_name mynameisjohn denotes that the investigator spoke the words “what is your name” and the claimed EVP is “My name is john”), this filename format is ended with the date of the EVP capture.
You may choose to listen only to the individual EVP files that have been extracted from the complete and unedited session files provided for your reference on this disk. Then again, you may choose to analyze the complete unedited session files first to see if you can detect the varied layers of EVP prior to listening to any of the individual EVP clips that have been extracted for your convenience. You can then compare your own findings with those files provided.
